IT’S BACK! Red Bull Wololo is returning for its THIRD installment early next year, and its arrival means that we can ALL look forward to one of the biggest 1v1 Empire Wars competitions in Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition!
The best players in the world will face each other in a custom version of Empire Wars—a unique game mode that skips the first Age of a traditional match. Instead, combatants begin in the Feudal Age: leaving little time before the action kicks off in a thrilling spectacle of incredible, competitive strategies.
The global Open Qualifiers will be played over two weekends, with the eight finalists earning an invite to participate in the Main Event. There, they’ll match up against eight legends of the Age of Empires scene:
The 16-player Main Event will be played out over the course of five days, with an incredible prize pool comparable to the previous events in the Red Bull Wololo series.
The action begins when the Open Qualifiers get underway on the weekends of January 2-3 and 9-10, followed by the Main Event weekends of January 16-17 and 22-24.
