After a historic 2021 event, we’re pleased to announce that the world’s biggest Age of Empires tournament is back for another year! Red Bull Wololo: Legacy will celebrate the history of this legendary series with competitions in Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, and Age of Empires IV.
THE STORY SO FAR
The first chapter of Red Bull Wololo began in 2020, and viewership and participation has continued to increase as epic rivalries and storylines emerged throughout the years. The electrifying Red Bull Wololo V: Enthrone Final saw AoE icon Ørjan “TheViper” Larsen take home his first victory against two-time Red Bull Wololo Champion Kai “Liereyy” Kallinger.
Expect to see plenty of familiar faces at Red Bull Wololo: Legacy, with past winners,hosts and casting talent all returning for this historic tournament as we help celebrate 25 years of Age of Empires. There will also be unique activities for fans and spectators throughout the event – stay tuned for further details.
GET INVOLVED
The tournament is open to all, with open qualifiers running from June to September 2022. The main event will take place at Castle Heidelberg, Germany – the gorgeous setting of the 2021 tournament – from October 21 to October 30.
