Age of Empires IV launches October 28th, available for Pre-order Now!

Age of Empires 4!!!!!!!! We have been dying to tell you all!

Now that we’ve gotten that excitement out of the way, we can move onto a wrap up of the rest of the announcements from our event. There is a lot to cover!

We started off announcing the release date for Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, October 19th, 2017! What a great way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original game! AoE: DE will launch with a ton of awesome new features, but we have kept a lot of things the same to preserve the feel of the original game. Take a look at the list:

  • Attack Move
  • 250-300 population cap
  • Rally Points Basic
  • Rally Points Contextual (Intelligent Villagers)
  • Grid default key layout
  • Select Idle Military
  • Select Idle Villagers
  • Unit queueing
  • Right-click mouse scroll
  • And MORE!

We then announced that we will be releasing Definitive Editions of both Age II and Age III, keep an eye out for more details about those!

Those led nicely into our announcement of Age of Empires IV. We are also excited to announce that we are working with the fantastic team from Relic Entertainment to make this the best Age game yet! Stay tuned for more details, we cannot wait to tell you more.

We’ll have the full VOD of the event up soon on for those who weren’t able to tune in. Keep an eye out there and on our social channels for more information on these announcements in the coming months!

The sizing for buildings and nature should be nearer to scale when compared with the villagers and soldiers. The centurions which are riding upon horseback; they appear to be nearly as tall as the trees, and when they are beside or nearer to most buildings.

Well everyone I guess Age 4 is basically Megaman Legends 3 2.0. What a shame. #fuckmicrosoft

AoE IV must be styled just like RoN in terms of;-
    1. Concept of Generals, Patriots their abilities and their selection icon
    2. 20th and 21st century ages
    3. Combat stances
    4. Tactical formations upon selections of units on scrolling mouse wheel like vertically compressing, horizontally expanding.
    5. While selecting troops and holding on right click and rotating mouse in a circular position. So that selected troops can change thier direction/face by 360 degrees

AoE series/franchies are the only ever in the world of rts. The only thing that rest of the poorer messy rts like command and conquerors took the lead because AoE series can't able to agggrisviely market it's brand. AoE series are of higest quality light and brighter graphics as compared to the rest of the rts out there. Anno, Sim, Stronghold, Empire Earth, Civilisation, command n conquers, warhammer, total war series, settlers etc are mere turn based, fantsy, futuristic etc unrealistic games with poor graphics, messy details and got bugs. AoE runs smooth then any other rts out there. AoE consists highly tactical, stragitical, constructive gameplay ever. AoE is the most realistic, historical, accurate rts ever as compared to other rts. The only counterpart to AoE series is Rise of Nations series. Microsoft Studios, Relic Entertainment and Big Huge games deserves all the credit. One important suggestion for the future AoE IV is to include 20th and 21st ages. I will also suggest that relic entertainment and big huge games must coorporate with each other to revive the fracnhise of Rise of Nation (RoN) as RoN 2, RoN 3 etc. Microsoft Studios has the best quality, windows friendly rts ever as compared to other companies!!!
