Welcome, Age of Empires II:Definitive Edition fans, to the MAY-HEM EVENT!
This month, we’ve drawn inspiration from the community to highlight some of our favorite memes, game quirks, and funny moments and encapsulate them in the latest event. This not only includes some of the more widely-known Age memes, but really boils down to two things: the fun and love for the game we all share as a community.
These are the root of what we’ve tried to capture this month: with new mods, profile icons, and even some special treats that you get to seek out and discover! Special shout-out to all of our Insider’s who voted on these three special units to receive a profile icon spotlight!
Starting TODAY through June 9th, complete the in-game tasks within the time limit to unlock a load of laughs, including:
- Three new Profile Icons!
- Three event-exclusive visual mods!
- Train your sheep to be even better scouts!
- Discover unique, Age-themed Easter Eggs hidden in the game!
- Unlock the new Mayhem Menu Background for the duration of the event.
Here’s the full list of game tasks and exclusives you can unlock during the event:
🎯 Sign into Xbox Live.
🏆 Unlocks the Mayhem La Hire profile icon.
🎯 Play the “Early Economy” Art of War mission and obtain a Silver or Gold medal.
🏆 Unlocks the Town Center Trophies Decoration mod. The more Art of War medals you have earned, the higher trophy you will see in your Town Center ranging from Bronze to Platinum. [NOTE: If you have previously achieved silver or gold status you will need to re-earn it during the event to unlock this reward.]
🎯 Train at least three monks.
🏆 Unlocks the Mayhem Scout Sheep profile icon and the Monk Unit Conversion FX mod.
🎯 Cumulatively train at least 99 villagers in games (can be achieved over multiple games).
🏆 Unlocks the Calculating Research FX mod.
🎯 Cumulatively build at least 20 wall sections in games (can be achieved over multiple games).
🏆 Unlocks the Mayhem Teuton profile icon.
🎯 Use sheep to find an animal.
🏆 Unlocks Sheep Scouting for the duration of the event (your sheep will magically learn the auto-scout ability in single player and campaign games).
In addition to these daily tasks, there are also four new Easter Eggs to seek out in the game—two of which are permanent additions! Can you find them all?
