Playing the Jin Dynasty
The Jin Dynasty excels with mobility, both economically and militarily. Their Mounted Villager is a faster moving and faster gathering villager that can gather resources quickly. They also field a powerful cavalry army featuring Mohe Tribesman – a mounted Archer replacement – and their imperious heavy cavalry, the Iron Pagoda.
The Jin supports their army with Grasslands, a unique building that spawns horses, which passively improves the health of their cavalry. These horses can also be used to spawn cavalry instantly at a discount should the need arise.
Their Emissaries can establish Tributary States at Trade Posts to gather food, improve trade, and increase their Mounted Villager limit. Emissaries can also be used to bribe enemy units to defect and fight for themselves.
If their aggressive play style falters, the Jin can fall back on their defensive bonuses and units. Mengan Mouke Emplacements enable them to defend their sprawling empire; these emplacements spawn cavalry defenders when opposing forces come into range. They can also utilize the Bed Crossbow – a siege weapon that fires two large bolts and is available in the Feudal Age.
