Official Age of Mythology: Tale of the Dragon Preview Hub!

Let the countdown begin!

We’re less than 10 days from the release of Age of Mythology: Tale of the Dragon, and a ton of content is coming your way!

To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with the superstar dev team over at Forgotten Empires to bring you at least one piece of sneak-peek content nearly every day! This will lead up to our big livestream launch event with the devs themselves on January 28 from 9:00-10:30 AM PST!
Among a bunch of other stuff, Tale of the Dragon will introduce 12 new gods: three major gods and nine minor gods. You can find out more about the three major gods here, but we are revealing details about one new minor god every day until launch! We will be updating this post each time we post a new minor god, so make sure to click the bookmark button so you stay up to date on every piece of news.

Click on any of the names below to head to that deity’s details page!

NEW TODAY! Xi Wangmu, Queen Mother of the WestThe regal Xi Wangmu is as ancient as she is powerful, and can summon mighty allies such as the White Tiger and Dilong the Earth Dragon. In keeping with her royal status, she grants unique technologies to make her followers’ castles more powerful.

Ao Kuang, Lord of the Eastern SeaThe fickle dragon Ao Kuang brings the might of the sea to bear, sending devastating waves to wash his enemies away and following them up with his fire-breathing azure dragons and nigh-invincible dragon turtles!

Chongli, God of Fire and WarfareLook, we’re not going to mess around with this one: if you are up against the terrifying Chongli, you’re going to be on fire. His Inferno god power scorches units and buildings alike, and his vermillion birds cause firestorms, which, frankly, is just overkill at this point.

Dabo Gong, Lord of Blessing and VirtueThe generous Dabo Gong is the god of soil and land. and his Pixiu—winged lions with dragon heads—generate gold as they soar over the map. His god power increases all construction and training times, making his gifts even more efficient for his followers.

He Bo, God of the Yellow River: The capricious He Bo grants his followers use of his amphibious War Salamanders, and he makes his power felt by causing geysers to erupt from the earth and swallow enemies whole!

Zhong Kui, Ruler over the Ghosts of HellThe brilliant Zhong Kui sends his bloodthirsty undead minions, the Jiangshi, after his foes, and can cause roots to grow rapidly and damage enemy buildings!

Chang’e, Goddess of the MoonBanished from Heaven long ago, the mysterious Chang’e can unleash a barrage of arrows anywhere on the map, and can strengthen both immortals and archers with unique technologies.

Huangdi, The Jade EmperorThe guardian of Heaven can instantly duplicate units, and his Teracotta Warriors poison enemies upon death.
